3 steps to heal your gut for good
#1 Having a healthy gut begins in the brain.
So first, calm down + sit down.
To have healthy digestion, you first must be able to actually digest. This means your body and mind must be in a calm enough state to get your digestive juices firing.
Digestion begins in the brain — meaning that you must be in a parasympathetic state ( “rest and digest” ) for proper digestion.
Steps to get into a parasympathetic state:
-Take three deep breaths before beginning your meal.
-Sit down in a calm space.
-Remain seated for your entire meal and at least 5 minutes after eating.
-Avoid any distractions, such as: stressful people, television, electronics, checking email, etc.
**make peaceful meals a priority for your health.
#2 Boost your ability to digest and absorb food.
We need stomach acid to absorb and digest our food, and a lot of it.
Sadly, today many people believe that stomach acid is evil and causes acid reflux and heartburn issues. However, this is not the case. Actually having too LITTLE stomach acid will lead to heartburn. This is because without the proper amount of stomach acid (hydrochloric acid), your food cannot be broken down and digested and then absorbed.
So then say hello to acid reflux because your food is not properly being broken down and sent through your intestines. Complete opposite of what many people believe, sadly due to misinformation over the years regarding heartburn medication.

You can naturally support your stomach acid by drinking apple cider vinegar as this will naturally add more acid into your digestive system.
I personally recommend mixing a shot of apple cider vinegar with two shots of filtered water, never drink ACV straight, always dilute with a clean water source.
#3 Calm down inflammation in the gut.
With the flood of processed foods, pesticides, GMOs, rancid vegetables oils and so much more in today’s world, you probably need to calm down and give your gut some love.
The simplest way to do this without spending dollars and dollars on fancy supplements is to add organic bone broth into your routine.
Bone broth has many healing abilities as it contains :
significant amount of collagen protein : helps heal the gut lining, also great for the joints and skin.
bio-available minerals : helps us to absorb more nutrients as we need to get minerals from our diet.
amino acids : has some anti-inflammatory properties.
contains glutamine : an amino acid in the body and helps to re-grow healthy cells that line the intestine.
I have shared an easy three step process you can start at home:
First : calm down to digest.
Second : increase your stomach acid for proper digestion.
Third : give your gut love.
Having a healthy gut will carry over into all other functions of your body and has the potential to positively affect physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
